Sarah (Tutor)

I am a 33 year old experienced teacher of French and Spanish and am currently taking a break from full-time teaching in order to bring up my two daughters. I am passionate about languages and language learning!

I have a friendly and caring approach to teaching and enjoy working with students of all ages. I work hard to ensure that students achieve their potential and I tailor my lessons to suit individual needs. I can help students in various ways, for example by targetting specific skill areas, grammar work, general conversation, essay writing skills or examination technique.

Availability: Weekdays after 5.00 pm and weekends at any time.

Experience: I completed my degree in French and Spanish at the University of Southampton in 1998, including one year spent living and working in southern Spain as a language assistant in a secondary school. After I graduated I taught TEFL to foreign students at a private school in Devon before returning to Southampton to complete my PGCE in 2000. I then taught French and Spanish for four years in a secondary school in Southampton before leaving to have my children and move to Somerset.

Qualifications: B.A. (hons) 2.1 in French and Spanish.
PGCE in secondary education (11-18) French and Spanish.
