I studied a degree in Mathematics with an Upper Second Class Honour and I would like to share my enthusiasm of Mathematics through tutoring. I have really enjoyed my experiences so far in the education setting such as being a primary school tutor under Millennium Volunteers Scheme, helping church friends in their Mathematics and Cantonese, and working as a full time Teaching Assistant in Hong Kong. In my belief of the value of education, I am seeking next rewarding and challenging opportunity to implement an integrated and comprehensive approach to demonstrate my personal and problem solving skills to make an effective contribution.

Experience: My teaching experiences have reinforced interests into this educational field. The most rewarding experience was to help students from different age group and knowledge backgrounds under the School Teaching Strategies to build up their confidence and interest in Mathematics and Chinese. Despite of the discrepancy between the performance of students, all my the workshops had reinforced their development of conceptual frameworks and their understanding of more sophisticated ideas. Most of their progress are incremental, including graduations of formulas knowledge and word structure, particularly for number conceptualization and its operation. In this regard, the classes had provided them a variety of experiential learning techniques and hand-on visualised materials that demonstrate the methodology to tackle their Maths problems as well as the structure of Chinese vocabulary.

Qualifications: •BSc (Hons) Mathematics with an Upper Second Class, University of Southampton.

•A-levels: Maths (A); Further Maths (B); Physics (D).

•8 GCSEs: 2A* in Chinese and Mathematics, 2A in Double Science, 3 Grade ‘B’ and
1 Grade ‘C’, including English.
