I have always been very passionate about foreign languages, having studied several at school and university. As a native English speaker who has studied translation, essay writing and linguistics, I can easily and concisely teach my languages in English. I have degree-level German, and advanced Norwegian and French. I also have basic Arabic.

I believe that people want to be taught languages by someone who is passionate about language and culture. Starting to learn can be a daunting task, so for students it is important to have an inspiring teacher who doesn't only require them to learn the rules of grammar and the vocab mechanically, but who can introduce them to the essence of the language and to the heart and the culture of the countries where it is spoken. Language learning can be a very enriching and even a life-changing experience.
