Hi, my name is Chris. I'm 23 years old and am a recent postgraduate, with a degree and M.A. in English Literature from Royal Holloway College - University of London. Needless to say, I am seeking to tutor individuals in English Language/English Literature.

I am friendly and easy-going, and I enjoy helping others to learn as much as I enjoy learning myself. My studies have furnished me with a clear, confident command of language; both written and verbal. I have considered tutoring for quite some time now, but it has only become a real prospect now that my postgraduate programme has drawn to a close. I feel that my analytical skills, acute attentiveness to grammar, punctuation and spelling and my passion for encouraging others in their educational pursuits qualify me for the role of an English tutor. Furthermore, I consider myself a very patient person which is, I believe, a necessary prerequisite for all good teachers and results in a more rewarding learning environment.

Availability: I charge a non-negotiable rate of £30.00 per hour. As I do not currently have other work commitments, I am available at the following times:

Mon - Fri
09:00-20:00

Sat-Sun
11:00-17:00

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: Despite the fact that I have no formal experience of tutoring, I have frequently helped pupils with exam preparation, reading, comprehension exercises and project work, and have even helped to structure and edit several dissertations. Also, I have a number of younger cousins and two brothers whom I have helped with English work on various occasions. As a postgraduate, I believe I am able to assist individuals from a young age to those studying for A level examinations.
