Hello, I am a qualified teacher and I love helping students to develop their academic skills and fulfil their potential.
My background is in health and social care, which means that I have knowledge of a range of health and social care subjects, including human biology and research methods. I also have a degree in psychology.
A central focus of my work has been on helping students gain understanding of the subject they are studying and helping them gain academic writing skills. This experience enables me to help you master academic writing skills, referencing skills and to improve your understanding of your subject.
I believe that clear and encouraging interaction is vital to helping students learn, with an emphasis on encouragement. This means understanding your needs from your point of view and this is my aim. I am here to help you.
Availability: One to two hours per week
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: Over twenty years of teaching in a conventional university and eight years experience of teaching for the Open University.
Qualifications: Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, BSc. Psychology, M.A. Health Studies, MSc. Psychological Research Methods, Certificate in Education.
