I am a graduate of Lancaster University and also have a PGCE in secondary Mathematics from the University of Cumbria. I have taught for a number of years in a secondary school and have a recent working knowledge of the curriculum and assessment methods across key stage 3 up to GCSE level.
My tutoring style is very much tailored to the needs of the student. I am flexible in my approach but normally have a scheme of work as a framework addressing topics which the student has difficulties with. As their competence improves in these weaker areas the student can grow in their confidence and improve future performance. I am encouraging and supportive.
Availability: 4pm-7pm weekdays.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: Completion of secondary Maths PGCE.
Teaching across all abilities at key stage 3 and GCSE. Working knowledge of both the Edexcel and AQA syllabus. Tutoring experience.
