I’m an energetic wife and mother in my early 50s with a life-long passion for language and literature.

Availability: Weekdays and Saturdays

Experience: I’m a fully qualified teacher with 14 years experience teaching English at secondary level, from year 7 to ‘A’ level. In my last school I was co-ordinator for literacy and worked with all abilities across the spectrum, from special needs to talented and gifted. I have enjoyed excellent examination results and have had wide experience of personal tutoring. Additionally, I have extensive experience of teaching students who have English as their second language. Whilst I have a friendly and supportive approach I do have high expectations that students will try and achieve the best possible result that they can.
