Art (adult-learner)
Lesson Details: 120min (0.5 time(s) per week)
Dates: 22/11/2011 -
Location: Southbourne Creative Hubb
Lesson Cost: £8
Lesson Information: These are introductory sessions intended for people who would not normally attend a formal class. Suitable for anyone, this session was initially conceived for those people who “can’t draw” or “wish they could …..” or have done nothing artistic for years and now lack the confidence to try.
The intention is that people can spend time in a non-judgemental, non-competitive environment, learning to enjoy creating and where the sole aim is to try things, not to produce masterpieces. That aside, participants will generally be surprised at their ability, particularly after they learn a few tips, and the whole day is intended to be light hearted and enjoyable, as social as you want (it is a great way to meet people) and a haven from the stresses of everyday life.
We will have a very varied programme and we will include:
Ways of drawing where there is no compulsion to make a masterpiece, and techniques to help you improve even stick man drawings
Playing with colour, just finding out what happens
New ways to be creative – using unexpected materials and even ordinary household items
Trish’s new blog at [contact detail removed] will hold updates on different activities and classes past and present and the feedback from the Arlington Life Drawing day [contact detail removed] shows the care taken in helping nervous artists.
