Experience: My first experience of teaching came through the Student Associate Scheme in 2008 which allowed outstanding students still at university to teach in deprived areas of local towns, in my case, Coventry.
After Coventry, I taught in Roosevelt High School in Johannesburg for 6 months, this was part of the Lord Rootes Memorial Fund from Warwick University which donated over £2000 for me to teach and play semi-professional rugby in South Africa.
Immediately after my PGCE, I became a biology teacher at Oakham School in Rutland. This independent boarding school where over 80% of A Level grades were B or above and 70% of GCSE grades were either A/A in 2010. This is where I am working at the moment, as a Biology Teacher, Assistant Housemaster, U15A Rugby Coach, U16A Football Coach and Athletics Coach.

Qualifications: I left Bedford Modern School with A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. I was also awarded a Bronze Medal in the National Biology Olympiad.
I went to the University of Warwick to study Medical Biology and gained a 2:1 (67%) in 2008.
I gained my Post Graduate Certificate in Education in 2010 and immediately started work at Oakham School.
