gcse level: £35 per hourI live in Ascot and have been working for the past 2 years as an independent private tutor for French and German. I have a genuine passion for languages and I am committed to your language learning, whatever your current level might be. I have experience of teaching all standards, from absolute beginners through to A Level.
Availability: I am available weekdays, both daytime and evenings, and I can also teach some weekends.

Experience: I am an experienced Modern Languages teacher. As Head of German at St Mary's School Ascot from 1993 to 2009 I taught pupils at all levels from beginners through to A2 and I now work as an independent tutor of French and German. I offer individual or small-group tuition. Having prepared pupils for GCSE, AS and A2 examinations over a number of years I can advise on revision plans and target lessons to the specific areas which will help improve your examination results. I have been able to help tutees develop confidence in their language learning and taught them the skills they needed to achieve or in some cases exceed their target grades. A recent tutee gave me the following feedback: "No schools in my area could offer me the German A level course, so I spent the past year with one to one tuition, with Sue teaching me the entire AS level syllabus. Sue has totally built up my confidence within this language and always supported me, in and out of lessons; marking work for me even in her own time! I really cannot thank her enough for the brilliantly fun lessons and her constant encouragement. Thanks to Sue I have been encouraged to pursue my aspiration of taking German at a Degree level."
I also tutor adults in French and German for business and holiday purposes. The convenience of individual lessons definitely suits many people who cannot find the time to attend a group class.
