I am a dedicated linguist with boundless enthusiasm for language teaching. I believe language learning should be both enjoyable and practical. I like to work with individuals to design courses that enable everyone to learn in the way that suits them best and to achieve their own goals.
I can offer you personally designed lessons delivered in your own home that will ensure you can make rapid progress in learning French, German or English as a second language (EFL or ESOL)

Experience: I have been a freelance tutor for ten years. Before this I taught in schools and adult education for over twenty years. I continue to work part-time in adult and community education and still sometimes organise training sessions for language teachers, but most of all I enjoy creating personalised language programmes for individuals and small groups, either face to face or on-line. I have prepared students for a variety of exams, including GCSE, ASSET languages, ESOL skills for life, IELTS, Cambridge Proficiency and First Certificate English.

Qualifications: I hold a BA degree in French and Russian, MCIL in French and German, PGCE in modern languages, a Trinity diploma in teaching English as a second language and my skills and experience have been recognised by the Institute for Learning with the award of QTLS.
