Presently I am taking a career break from full-time teaching to look after my three young sons. I have been tutors since 1987 when I wanted to supplement my postgraduate grant. However, I found that his was an enjoyable work and that I was good at teaching on a one to one level and helped my student achieve best grades. So have continued tutoring since then. Since then I have gained a PGCE in Science and have school and college teaching experience in both Maths and Science.
I like to take a personable approachwith sessions tailored to their individual needs. I will put the pupil on their ease and like to improve their confidence in the subject by encouraging them by building on the knowledge they already have.

Availability: I am free to teach most weekday evenings, Saturday mornings and also for A-level students with home study time during school hours.

Experience: Tutor since 1987.
Secondary science teacher. Maths college lecturer (Stockport College, and City College, Manchester) and supply teacher to over 30 schools in Greater Manchester Area.
Also spent time working as an Industrial and Analytical Development Chemist.

Qualifications: B.Sc.(tech) 2(ii) Hons, in Pure and Applied Chemistry,
M.Sc., Instrumentation and Analytical Science,
Ph.D., Electroanalytical Chemistry,
PGCE, Secondary Science.
