Having worked at Bishop Stopford’s School in Enfield-London, as a volunteer French classroom assistant, which involved some teaching and classroom management responsibility, I decided to consolidate my vision to become an educator by taking a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages.
In my teacher training, I am learning a lot about the learning process of children and the promotion of positive values and attitudes to young people such as a motivation to have a commitment to the educational progress. The combination of my teaching strategies and some innovative activities in my lessons leads each experienced teacher who has observed me to mention that I have a clear commitment to the good standards of teaching and learning
.
In my first placement, I have taught a wide range of abilities in KS3, which involved the use of differentiation, such as different tasks or different outcomes, and inclusion in my teaching strategies. I taught a range of mixed abilities who struggle with literacy.
In my second placement, I had further experience with the KS3 and I also worked with less able pupils at the KS4.
Across these two placements I have experienced a wide range of behavioural issues and taught all years from 7 to 12. In the meantime, I gained more experience by working alongside the learning support assistant’s staff while teaching the less able groups.
Currently, I am in charge of an after school French club for KS1 and KS2 in the local area. I am also doing the one-to-one French tutorial with KS3 and KS4’s pupils.
For the family reason, I did not complete my final placement which is due to be done between March and June of next year.
Furthermore, I am a French native speaker.
I believe that both my skills and personal attributes would match the requirements you could seek for these roles and that I would be able to effectively contribute to the learning progression of the pupils in particular and the hard work of the whole group in general.
I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss my application and look forward to hearing from you. For further information, I am available on the mobile phone: [contact detail removed]
