I am a secondary school teacher with 20 years experience of teaching music and English to A level standard in secondary schools around Oxfordshire and more recently West Yorkshire and Lancashire. I started teaching in 1993 and qualified with a PGCE in 1995. For the last 5 years I have been tutoring private students in GCSE English, Maths and the eleven plus exam in and around Bradford and West Yorkshire. I am currently doing long term supply teaching contracts in secondary schools so I have a good up to date knowledge of the curriculum and GCSE spec and I have developed programmes which compliment this. My approach to tutoring is student focused and centers on building a good relationship with the student in order make them comfortable to explore the subject and get the most out of lessons.
Availability: I am available any time, weekdays and weekends except Sunday mornings.

Experience: 21 years in primary and secondary schools in and around Oxford, West Yorkshire and Lancashire.
4 years tutoring English, Maths and the 11 plus entrance exam in Yorkshire.
Currently taking long-term supply contracts teaching English in secondary schools in West Yorkshire and Lancashire and working full time.

SarahJoy is wonderful - My Grandson`s first comment about her was "why can`t school be like this"
My Grandson missed almost a term at school but SarahJoy has helped him not only catch up but get beyond most of his classmates with Shakespeare very quickly. She made the subject come alive for him.
