TUTORING:

I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher with experience from Reception up to Year 5. I am happy to tutor any primary subject and specialise in Literacy. After the birth of my two children I left full time teaching and am now enjoying the chance to work one to one with children who need a bit of extra support, who risk getting lost in todays larger class sizes, or who simply need someone to find out what makes them tick and help them to enjoy learning.

HEALTH AND FITNESS/YOGA:

Previous to becoming a teacher, I was a personal fitness trainer and Yoga instructor, training and teaching both adults and children. I am also available for one to one or small group sessions in Yoga and general health and fitness for both adults and children.

Availability: I am available to help with homeschooling during school hours and for general tutoring after school hours and at the weekends.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: Alongside teaching, I have a wealth of experience with children with previous jobs including Family Support Worker, Nursery Nurse, Children`s Yoga Instructor, Teaching Assistant and Support Foster Carer. I worked as a teaching assistant for 1 year before beginning my 3 year degree course which included 6 teaching placements. I have now been a qualified teacher since September 2011.

My oldest son has recently been diagnosed with Autism and, as such, I have 6 years experience helping an autistic child manage his difficulties whilst thriving academically. I can help with children who struggle to focus, move from one task to another, suffer with a high level of fear of failure or issues with self confidence amongst many other difficulties. I will always strive to help each child as an individual and don`t use any prescri ptive teaching packages. Everything I do with your child will have been designed by me to specifically meet their needs.
