I have been successfully tutoring English Literature at GCSE and A/AS level for several years. I also tutor Philosophy and Sociolgy A/AS level and worked for local colleges during Easter revision week this year. I have an excellent reputation, my tutees usually attain A *. I hold a current CRB check. Happy to travel or tutor in my home. I am a Cambridge University, fully trained teacher. 2011 was yet another successful year for my tutees! Those that had low predictions gained B's and the A-graders leapt to a *. Hope to undertake lots more tutoring in AW11/2012!

Availability: I am semi-retired and can provide daytime sessions. Although this site specifies groups of two to three students at one time I am mostly available for one-to-one tutorials.

Experience: 10 years of Nat Curr. teaching/FE & A/AS level lecturing. I worked for the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority as a Qualification Accreditation Manager for 5 years, this regulatory authority used to oversee the Nat. Curr and managed 300 awarding bodies so I have a lot of insight regarding qualifications and examining bodies.I currently privately tutor students from both Public schools; local Secondary schools & 6th form colleges. I have current knowledge of AQA; OCR & Edexcel specifications for Philosophy; Eng Lit A/AS & GCSE. I have tutored 3 A level Philosophy & 4 A level Eng lit plus 5 GCSE students successfully this year. I am passionate about what I do to help my students fulfil their potential and work many hours outside of the paid tutorial time.
