I am a piano (classical, jazz and pop), composition and theory teacher based in Paddock, Huddersfield.

I currently lecture in composition, piano performance, musicianship and theory at the University of Huddersfield and Leeds College of Music, and am completing a PhD in Composition due to finish in January 2011. I am an active composer and performer working in classical, jazz and pop environments, and enjoy letting my experiences of all these inform my teaching.

Availability: Most weekdays and evenings, and weekends

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have much experience teaching in both an institutional setting (school and university) and privately, have been working in both for over four years. I have previously taught students with no musical experience, or experience of a particular genre, and helped guide them through to advanced levels. I have much experience of teaching school and degree-level students up to mature adults, and have worked in a pastoral capacity at Chetham's School of Music for three years.
