I am currently the head of psychology at a high achieving high school and sixth form college. I have been teaching AQA-A psychology for 5 years at AS and A-Level. I have taught every component of the AS-level specification and a wide range of topics from Modules 4 and 5. I also have considerable experience teaching module 6, coursework. I have marked exam s for AQA and this has provided me with invaluable insight into the assessment criteria for each grade band.

I have experience mentoring individual students. I provide students with a wide range of resources. First and foremost I ensure that students are given adequate materials to cover the content of each module. Within this, I cater to different abilities and learning styles. Students are given essay plans, sample answers, comprehension tasks and practial activies where possible. I firmly believe that students learn quicker if they are given the opportunity to enjoy the learning process. In a recent student forum, pupils commented that I was dedicated, approachable and supportive. This is reflected in students exam performances.
