I`m a third year chemical & process engineering student at the University of Sheffield. I find helping others rewarding and I especially like passing on my enthusiasm for the sciences and mathematics, however I`m equally happy teaching one of the three languages I`m fluent in (Hungarian, English and Spanish). Every single person requires a different and personalized approach when tutoring and I enjoy the challenge of finding out what works best for each individual student.

I`m a friendly and motivated tutor and I always make it a priority to make the tutee feel as engaged and as interested as possible. I`m very patient and have no problems explaining concepts using different approaches in case the tutee has difficulty understanding them. I feel it`s important to know when to slow down to make sure the tutee does not feel rushed as from my experience this is one of the crucial mistakes that a tutor can make.

Availability: Weekday evenings after lectures and weekends.

Experience: I have both non-paid and paid teaching experience. Non-paid experience was gained tutoring my peers in school. One of the main motivations behind looking for part time work as a personal tutor was seeing several of my friends who I`d tutored get accepted into their universities of choice when initially they didn`t have the grades for them. Through perseverance and hard work I was able to help them improve to the point where they achieved the required A-Level grades for doing the subjects of their choice at university and currently I`m doing the same for many students in Sheffield doing their GCSEs and A-Levels. In the past I`ve helped tutees both in person and through electronic means like videochat and e-mail.
