Hi, I’m Thor , and I’m going to be teaching you maths.
In collaboration with Cambridge University Press I have recently made a series of ten maths tutorial podcasts.

These Cambridge Maths Tutorial Vodcasts are each 5 to 10 minutes long, focusing on one key topic. Using my experience as a maths tutor, I have endeavoured to express the key ideas in as concise a manner as possible without leaving anything out.
The podcasts are designed to be watched before the concept is covered in school, as a refresher afterwards, and/or as revision before the exams.

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: The ten topics covered are:
Differentiation of Polynomials — also contains the basic rules of differentiation
The Number e — Euler’s number and it’s uses in exponentials and logarithms.
Probability 1 — Events, Probability Trees, and Karnaugh Maps
Probability 2 — Binomial and Normal distributions
Antidifferentiation — the basics of antidifferentiation
Dilations and Translations — Curve sketching made easy (with practice)
Differentiation from first principles — self-explanatory
Circular Functions 1 — Definitions, graphs, and identities of the circular functions
Circular Functions 2 — Calculus with circular functions
Quadratics — basic curve sketching, turning point form, and the quadratic formula.

Qualifications: About the Author:

I wrote and filmed these podcasts at the age of 16. At the time of writing, I am 17 years old, and in my second year of university. I intend to major in both maths and physics. I have been helping my friends with their maths for years, and started tutoring year 12 students professionally last year. To me, maths is a thing of beauty, and while I understand that not everyone wishes to spend their life doing maths, I believe that everyone can enjoy it and be good at it if it is presented to them in the right way. Hopefully these podcasts will enrich some people who might otherwise have never seen the beauty in mathematics.

Some of my other achievements are (in inverse chronological order): Graduating high school in the top 0.1% of the country; Publishing a set of worked solutions with Cambridge University Press at age 16 (link); Receiving the “Prize for Academic Excellence” in my first year university maths course (at age 15, while in Year 11); Playing for Australia in the World Junior Chess Championships at age 8, the youngest competitor there.
