Hello, my name is Philippa and I am currently undertaking my PhD research at the University of Manchester.

I have had experience in teaching children both in schools and also in a more relaxed home environment. I find each student an individual with different needs and a different approach to teaching is required for success.

I am a patient, hard-working person and enjoy teaching students not just the basics of a subject but also the relevance in every-day life. I am passionate about my subjects and enjoy passing on my enthusiasm but also installing greater confidence in a student for exams and future work.

MEng in Materials Science (Oxford 2003-2007)

3 A-levels in Physics (A), Maths (A), Further Maths (B) and and AS level in Chemistry (A)
