Information about Paul

I am a recent Warwick University graduate having spent 4 years studying for a masters degree in physics. I now live in Leamington Spa and am looking to help students studying maths or physics at GCSE and A Level.

I see my role as a tutor as a compliment to formal teaching, providing the student the opportunity to ask questions they didn't have time to (or didn't want to) ask in class.

I am also interested in tutoring degree level physics, I studied a wide variety of material at university and have a good understanding of all the core modules.

Availability: weekday afternoons and evenings (evenings preferred)

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I have experience tutoring both AS and A2 physics and have taught family members maths and physics at GCSE level.

Paul is an intelligent, enthusiastic and likeable teacher, who explains difficult concepts very well. He has vastly increased my understanding in areas I was finding difficult to comprehend. Paul has great communicative skills, and uses a whiteboard to pictorially explain different processes and phenomena, which is very effective.

Paul also thoroughly analysed both my specification (which on its own is very vague), and my exam-board`s textbook, cross referencing them to ensure he is teaching every detail I am required to know and also to produce excellent notes of each module with the essentials of what I need.

In addition Paul always ensures I am given exam questions on the topics we cover, emailing me several between lessons, then goes over my answers and explains the mark scheme, helping my exam technique.

Overall, if you are looking for a physics tutor who you will get on with, make you understand concepts you did not before, and ultimately significantly improve your physics grade, do not look beyond Paul.
