Information about Patrick
Qualified experienced music tutor based in South West London. I have been teaching GCSE, AS and A2 Music for many years and have a way of explaining music that students find unstuffy and very accessible. Current Assistant Director of Music at the Tiffin Girls` School.
Availability: Now taking music students on for extra revision for GCSEs and A/AS Level, as well as music theory lessons.

Experience: I studied classical music at the University of Nottingham, worked as an editor on the New Grove Dictionary of Music and for seven years at BBC Radio 3 (classical and jazz) whilst also teaching privately.
Over many years, I have taught Edexcel GCSE and A Level, Cambridge Pre-U, and Eduqas GCSE and A Level, and can explain the intimate details of each and every piece in a way that you will find accessible and clear, putting the pieces into context and I can also help with your exam technique and essay-writing.
I am the former Head of Music at Duff Miller College and Lansdowne College, Kensington, where I taught GCSE and A Level Music (Edexcel and OCR). I have tutored on the well-respected Easter Revision course at MPW College (Kensington) and have also taught at Tiffin School and Tiffin Girls` School (Kingston-upon-Thames).
As a performing musician, I play trombone, drums, bass guitar, guitar, ukulele and sing and have performed all over the world including tours of Japan, China, India, Canada and the Middle East. I have performed regularly on TV and Radio and was the producer of BBC Radio 2`s 2010 landmark series Jazz Junctions, and Top Brass (2018, 2019).
