Having only just emerged from the system of learning, revision and examination that any of my potential pupils will be preparing for, I can not only offer a great bank of factual knowledge but also useful tips and advice on the more 'tactical' side of achieving at GCSE, AS and A2 level. I specialise in History, Politics, English Literature, Philosophy and Ethics and in August 2011 secured my place to study History at University College London in 2012 (having turned down an offer from the London School of Economics).

I can supplement a pupil's classroom education with more of a focus on revision and exam techniques, guidance on how to articulate oneself fully within a time-limit, tips on how to create and organise revision materials and deciphering the cryptic world of examiner's reports and mark schemes. I have extensive informal experience of tutoring friends, family and fellow students and have always received positive feedback.

I have not received my CRB certificate at the time of writing but can assure you I will obtain one!

Availability: I am very flexible: available morning, day and evening on weekdays and weekends. I am happy to travel to West and East Cowes, Newport and Ryde (I am limited by my lack of car); pupils are also welcome to travel to me in West Cowes.

Experience: Fresh from studying A2s issued by the OCR and AQA boards of examination (although all exam boards are pretty similar in their styles of assessment), along with plenty of extra-curricular study.
