I graduated from Oxford University in 2011 with a degree in Experimental Psychology (a very science-based subject) I currently tutor full time and am in the process of setting up a company focussed on guiding students to reach their full potential. I very much enjoy teaching, as well as the satisfaction of helping a student reach their goal, and welcome students of all abilities, especially those who are enthusiastic about succeeding. What sets me apart from most is that as well as tutoring my students, I take the role of a mentor, to motivate, encourage and guide them towards success. I have had a lot of experience in private tuition, with a range of students benefiting from my support with 11+ exams up to Degree level.
I am able to tutor A-Level Mathematics, Geography, English (Literature/Language), Psychology and Media Studies.
I can also tutor GCSE in most subjects including Mathematics, English, Science, History, ICT, French and Geography.
For students applying for Oxbridge, I am able to provide valuable advice on interview techniques and personal statements, as well as provide contacts to graduates from Oxford University from a range of subjects. I am also able to tutor students for entrance exams e.g. 11+.

I am available most days (subject to other tutoring bookings), and flexible.

Experience:
I have tutored extensively at Primary, GCSE, A-level, and Degree level with excellent results. One student moved up from a D in A-Level Psychology to a very high B another gained almost an A in their English GCSE after being tutored by me for just a month, a huge improvement from the C/D level they were at. I am currently tutoring students ranging from 11+ common entrance exams to A-level Mathematics and Psychology degree level. I have taken part in several mentor schemes where I supported students with their academic problems in Mathematics, Science and English.I have also hosted group tuition sessions for students from all around London after visiting their schools.
Studying `Education and Psychology` as my specialist subject during my degree has meant that I have a range of techniques that I apply to my teaching - these are based on biological/neuroscience/psychological findings in an educational context.
I spend a lot of time planning for sessions so that my students get the very best out of each lesson. My approach is thus very organised, with small goals set per session, as well as a long term goal to work towards. I always ensure that my lessons are engaging, and work towards building a good relationship with my students, encouraging them to ask questions without any hesitation. I adapt my approach depending on my students` learning style as I feel this is the key to successful teaching. Past papers are also definitely a step in the right direction, as well as looking at the syllabus/specifications for the subject.
