Chris (Tutor)
I am currently an assistant teacher at Bristol University. I feel I would like to offer my tutoring services to help better prepare prospective students in the science and medical fields for their university studies. I usually prefer to help students reach a point of understanding with the subject matter by leading them towards providing the solutions themselves, thereby giving a greater sense of accomplishment and ensuring better retention of the material and their understanding. This approach often leaves the student feeling more comfortable with the material, and happy that they attained the result themselves.
My CV is available on request, and this should provide more information on my teaching and research experiences, as well as my academic background, publication record, and additional skills such as e-learning development and presentation at academic meetings and conferences
I`m also happy to discuss any pastoral issues, and talk with parents about specific needs or advise on course interests and university applications.
