I am a historian who has had an interest in teaching and tutoring for a long while. I have worked with a wide spectrum of ages and abilities from undergraduates and postgraduates to children with behavioural problems and adults with learning disabilities.
I believe that people learn best using a wide variety of methods depending on the demands of the task and the learning style of the individual. My wide variety of experiences with all sorts of ages and abilities combined with my extensive experiences teaching and tutoring mean that I am very well placed to adapt my teaching to the individual.
I am a patient person who is focussed and organised. I believe that I am able to motivate and encourage people and I have had great success in engaging with not just people eager to learn but those who find the process more difficult.
