My lessons are fun, imaginative and very much to the point. I want to get the best out of my students, and I’m willing to work hard to tailor every lesson to the individual to achieve that end.

I’m happy to teach GCSE and A Level English, History, Religious Studies and Philosophy. I can teach English as a foreign language to any level, and I’m also willing to coach individuals to improve their writing.

Availability: Weekdays daytime and evening, weekends daytime only.

Experience: I have a year’s experience as a teacher and course convener at Hengshui University in China, where my students ranged from near-beginners at the English language to high-flyers studying the literature of Chaucer and Shakespeare. I taught courses in English language, literature and culture. I have experience with younger students at Ardmore Language Summer schools, where ages ranged from eight to eighteen.

Qualifications: I have a 2:1 degree in Philosophy and Literature from Warwick University, and MAs in Creative Writing (Manchester) and Critical and Cultural Theory (Cardiff). I have A Levels in English, Philosophy and Religion, History, and General Studies, and AS Level Critical Thinking. I got straight As.
