I offer private tuition to groups and individuals for Beginners French and Beginners Mandarin Chinese.

I have a first class degree from the University of Birmingham in Mandarin Language and in French Language. I have studied French at Marseille University, and lived in France for 6 months. I have also studied at the prestigious Fudan University, China for a year. I am a member of ASCSL (Association of Speakers of Chinese as a Second Language).


I believe that as a native English speaker I can explain grammatical rules simply and clearly, which is often a big problem for tutors who are native to France or China.
I am very friendly and patient, and believe learning is most successful in a relaxed environment.
My prices start from just £15 an hour as I am enthusiastic about languages and value the importance of language learning in the UK - this is £15 less than the average!

I am based in Birmingham, UK. Will to your home to teach, though a travel charge may be added depending on where you live, or often arrange sessions at local libraries.

Experience: I am currently a teacher, working in two primary schools in Birmingham teaching French, Spanish and Mandarin. I already have students I privately tutor in French and Mandarin, and have also had experience as a tutor in China and a teacher of business English to adults. I am also currently tutoring adults but as a Primary teacher with over four years experience with children, I am comfortable with all ages.

Qualifications: BA Modern Languages Degree - French and Mandarin.
Celta Teaching qualification.
Qualification - Universite Aix Marseille
Qualification - Mandarin proficiency. Fudan Daxue (university)
