Lesson Information: Get ready for your Music Technology A-Level !!! From sound engineering, record producing and computer music programming this lesson covers it all. The lesson is designed to illustrate the exciting happenings within a recording studio and learn the different techniques to get a true professional sound. Students, including those who may not play a traditional instrument, are encouraged to explore their musicality and create original material using the latest music technology. There is an emphasis on practical experience, allowing you to truly understand and develop fantastic skills for a later career in the music industry. Lesson Structure: Edexcel GCE in Music Technology comprises of an Advanced Subsidiary AS and A2 component, each lasting one year. The first half of the GCE course consists of Units 1 and 2, this can be taken as a stand alone qualification or 50 per-cent of the total Advanced GCE marks. The second year A2 counts as the other 50 per-cent of the full qualification, constructed through Units 3 and 4.

During this lesson, children make a variety of sounds with their voices, bodies, found objects and instruments, and explore how these sounds can be changed and used expressively in response to a stimulus.
