I am a native French-woman, a graduate in History and qualified teacher from France. I have worked as a student mentor and language tutor for three years.

I am extremely adaptive to individual needs and approach each student accordingly. Being fluent in 4 languages (English, French, Arabic and Berber) I am aware that learning foreign languages requires an approach for some students far more interpersonal and usually less rigid (at least in the earlier stages) than other areas of study. Hence, students will find my cheerfulness and patience an important means of maintaining their confidence and esteem throughout the lessons. The most important thing is for students to enjoy their learning, and this will guarantee fast improvement.

French has a very well-structured grammar but also very complex. Thus, simply learning vocabulary, for example - which is the manner of English textbooks and state schools - is never enough. Language is about self-expression, and I also put a strong focus on intonation and pronunciation, and listening. No lesson is complete unless it involves all these elements.

Availability: Monday to Friday: 11am-8pm (if necessary, happy to do weekends)

Experience: Three years as a student mentor and private language tutor.

Qualifications: BA Degree in History from Université d’Avignon in France, plus 2 years Erasmus exchange study in English Universities.

My French degree includes an extended Humanities teacher’s qualification which includes French Literature and Language, and especially strong focus on grammar.

Moute is a phenomenal french teacher who I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. The way she has helped me with my coursework and how she has identified what was lacking but more importantly, she has showed how to fix it very quickly.

Moute`s a brilliant teacher who helped me achieve an A star in my French GCSE. She is very dedicated and reliable and gave me a lot of good advice, helping me gain confidence in my speaking, writing and reading skills. Most importantly, she allowed me to have a genuine interest in French which I felt was most useful.

Moute is an absolutely outstanding teacher. She is very thorough, dedicated and passionate about helping her students to achieve the best. My grades improved significantly with her help and ideas, leading to an A in my GCSE. I would highly recommend her to anyone- thank you Moute.
