I am an English teacher currently teaching in a secondary school. I am second of department in my school and have responsibility for delivering the AQA English specification for GCSE as well as maintaining high standards for KS3.

I offer one hour tutoring sessions; working with the student to improve their English attainment. I am a firm believer that tuition must centre entirely around the pupil's interest in the tutoring, for the process to be successful. However they too, must have a desire to improve themselves- aiming to work hard during the sessions, ask questions when they do not understand and be a good listener.

In a recent inspection by Ofsted I was graded 'outstanding'.

Experience: I have been teaching for four years and am second in department at my school. I run and deliver the one to one tutoring programme within the school which aims to help underachieving students reach their target grades through carefully selected writing and reading targets. I have excellent understanding of the requirements of the AQA specification at GCSE.

PGCE -English, Drama and Media Studies
BA (Hons) Journalism
