I am an experienced Italian and Spanish teacher. I hold a degree in Italian Language and Literature, a Postgraduate Certificate in Translation, a PhD in Hispanic Studies and professional teaching qualifications CLTA and PTLLS). I have lived and worked as a teacher, editor and translator in Italy, Spain, France and Peru, before settling in the UK.
I tailor the lessons to the learner's needs and interests, and use a variety of tools in order to make the learning process effective and enjoyable. In addition to the coursebook and the grammar book, I use texts (from articles, short stories, novels and screenplays), audio and audiovisual material (songs, sound recordings and videos from the internet) as well as role-playing games, all of which vary according to the student's requirements. Topics of conversation range over daily life, cooking, culture, films, art, politics, social issues etc. I am always very keen to teach culture alongside languages; in case the student is interested in that, I can include elements of Italian, Spanish and Latin American culture in my classes.

Experience: I have 6 years of teaching experience I taught Spanish American Literature at the University L'Orientale and Spanish Language at King's College London. I am now a freelance teacher of Italian and Spanish to non native speakers of all ages and at all levels. I am currently teaching both Italian and Spanish (Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, GCSE and AS/A-Level)to children, adolescents and adults.
