I am a recent Mathematics graduate from Australia, having just completed a Bachelor of Science with an Extended Major in Mathematics.
I love working with people who want to learn, and I am very passionate about mathematics. I very much enjoy being able to impart some of the excitement I get from maths onto others.
I have studied most fields of mathematics with a major focus on discrete and algebra. I am an accomplished student with outstanding results in all semesters of my studies, including a perfect score in my final semester.
I have tutored people of all ages and from a variety of disciplines. I have held informal tutoring sessions for colleagues and peers at a university level, as well as being in the employ of the University of Queensland as a first year calculus tutor with a class of 28 students. I have also tutored senior high school students.
I was once an officer in the Royal Australian Navy, and if nothing else, the experience taught me the importance of encouragement in study. It enabled me to realise that a mark out of 100 should not be the end goal, rather it should be knowledge of the material. I like to focus my tutoring on this on learning the material inside and out, and then the marks will follow. This was my doctrine during my own studies and I hope to impart some of the skills I developed onto others.
I understand some of the difficulties that face students of mathematics and I believe that I can be a great resource for any student.

Availability: I am available all hours during the week and weekend. Unfortunately I am unable to tutor at my residence but I am willing to tutor at any location at the students discretion.

Experience: Tutored colleagues at university in a range of mathematics related subject areas. Tutored high school students intermediate level mathematics in preparation for exams. Tutored a class of 28 students at the University of Queensland in Calculus and Linear Algebra.

Qualifications: Although I have no formal teaching qualifications I have a Bachelor of Science with an extended major in Mathematics.
