Information about Maya

I recently graduated with a first class honours degree from King's College London. I plan to embark on postgraduate study after this year.

The course at King's covers a large range of genres and periods. I specialised in early modern theatre; spending a large portion of my time studying Shakespeare and his contemporaries. However, given the challenging nature of the course at King's I was expected to branch out from my main interest; I also received first class marks in medieval, renaissance and post-colonial modules.

My A-level in drama and theatre studies and my dissertation topic, the representation of Islam in early modern theatre, means that I am equipped to tutor not only English Literature or Language students but also A-level drama students.

Whilst studying at King's I also wrote for the London Student Newspapers and worked for MP's in London, honing my written skills and dedicating myself to creative outlets outside of academic learning.
