I offer a one-to-one tuition service to AS/A-Level/degree-level students in English Literature. I am a patient, friendly person who can inspire and motivate students to achieve their goals. I can offer:
• A planned programme of in-depth reading & textual analysis sessions to help understand texts and topics thoroughly
• Exam coaching and testing
• Advice and written feedback on drafts of coursework/essays/dissertations
I can offer an independent and adult approach to learning. I like the challenge of making the subject interesting and engaging for those students who are struggling to see the relevance of reading books from 200 or 300, or even 400 years ago.
Availability: I am available to tutor in the daytime (10a.m - 6.00pm) or on Saturday mornings (10a.m - 1pm).

Experience: I am not a traditional secondary-school teacher. I wrote a PhD in English Literature at King’s College London (1998-2003) and I have taught graduate-level students at KCL and Royal Holloway. I have been tutoring privately for one year and I also work as a personal assistant and writer.
