I have played hockey for 20 years, at the highest level for 10 of those. I have represented England at Junior level. As a result health and fitness is has become a major aspect of my life. I have worked with fitness and conditioning coaches as part of my regular training with clubs and at a personal level. I keep up to date with the recent developments in health and fitness, and am generally keen to learn more. I can provide personal hockey lessons and personal/small groups fitness sessions! Lesson Information: Will cover key aspects of subject. In theses lessons, pupils will be encouraged to develop their understanding of chosen books, topics etc through discourse and tutoring from me. The ideas being to create a more relaxed and university like experience, where i will be encouraging the student to think freely and to develop their own understanding of the topic, without the fear of being told off or ridiculed by peers for pursuing an abstract or 'different' idea.
There will be testing, designed by myself to ensure progress is made. Ultimately however, i want the student to begin to think freely for themselves, while i encourage and correct where necessary. The classes are designed to help the pupil understand the subject in a broader and more practical way.
Looking to bring the experience gained from my years in education, culminating in a BA in English Literature, to pupils who need extra help or pupils looking to get a head start for the academic year. I have experience of working with children of all ages, boys and girls. I like to create a relaxed atmosphere in which a potential pupil can express their thoughts and ideas on the given subject/topic and give aid and assistance in developing and improving their understanding of the subject.It is my hope, that through my tutoring, the pupil will have more confidence in the subject and a greater understanding of the subject in general.
Availability: Available Monday to Friday, for Pre school, lunch time and free period tutoring.
