Hello my name is Lucy and I am a postgraduate student at the University of York. Last year I graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in English Language and Literature.

If you need help with your set texts and exam syllabus, I can offer you friendly and effective guidance. I am willing to help students with examination style, close reading, and essay style. Some students may wish to prepare texts and essays for university interviews - I am happy to help with these too.

I am willing to teach all areas of English language and literature up to degree level, including preparation for the AEA paper. My undergraduate degree encompassed all periods of literature from 1100 to the present day as well as the history of the English language.

Qualifications: In 2010 I graduated from St Peter's College, Oxford University with an honours degree in English Language and Literature. I have recently completed an MA in eighteenth century studies at the University at York and I am about to embark on a PhD in Engilsh.

Before attending Oxford, I studied at Stratford-upon-Avon Grammar School for Girls. I achieved 5 high A's in English Literature, History, Geography, Classical Civilizations and General Studies with 100% on many papers. I also achieved a distinction in the English Advanced Extension Award.
