I am an experienced and qualified secondary English teacher currently working towards a career in Educational Psychology. I favour a collaborative, fun and specifically targetted approach to tutoring; I am happy to work with students who are aiming to improve exam grades, or those who find English challenging and would like extra support.
Availability: Extensive - I can offer both day time and also evening tuition.

Experience: Fully qualified secondary English teacher, I have been working at an Ofsted "Outstanding" rated Academy in inner London as part of the Teach First programme. I have experience working with both gifted and talented students as well as those with a variety of barriers to learning and special educational needs. I have spent the past year self-funding an MEd degree at the University of Bristol whilst working as a private tutor with GCSE and A-Level students and also tutoring disengaged and excluded students on behalf of Bristol City Council.
Qualifications: * Masters in the Psychology of Education (predicted Disctinction) from the University of Bristol, August 2010.
*Qualified Teacher Status awarded July 2008 by Teach First and Canterbury Christchurch University.
*NCTJ journalism qualification, July 2006.
