Biology (gcse, degree, adult-learner, a-level)
I am a post-doctoral research scientist who loves teaching people of all ages and abilities. I can help provide broader context for your studies and relate what you are learning to how it can be used in a research or industrial setting.
Don’t let the many acronyms and odd sounding technical names put you off! Any scientific concept can always be broken down and explained to anyone at any level. I love taking on that challenge and will work very hard to help you with whatever areas you feel least confident in.
I have a lot of experience with scientific writing (peer reviewed journal articles, grant funding applications, ethics committees, non-scientific audiences) so can help you improve your science writing skills, be that structuring essays or writing up projects and experiments. I also have a lot of experience presenting my work at international conferences so can help you prepare for and gain confidence in public speaking.
I have always excelled as a student myself at all levels from GCSE through to postgraduate, and have won numerous prizes and commendations throughout this time. I can help you with revision planning, exam technique and personal statements for university applications. After all, being prepared is half the battle!
Please get in touch if you would like any further information. I hope to hear from you soon.
