II am generally considered to be very patient. I have experienced many problems myself, and went to University to study maths DESPITE my teacher (who told me I could study 'A' level maths as an interest!) Consequently I think everyone deserves a chance and should not be written off if they cannot do something first time. I believe if you want to do something, you can.

I am a "more mature" lady, who started teaching when computers were room-sized, and I have adapted to each stage since the days of the BBC, and from playing games, to programming, using the internet, then email, followed by using each version of Windows and Microsoft Office.

Availability: Having just finished a temporary contract working in an office, I am available most of the time.

Experience: I have had various experience teaching, over the years. I originally trained as a "middle-school" teacher in general subjects, but then taught Maths and Geography in a combined grammar/comprehensive school. I re-trained as a computer programmer, and worked for NORWEB and its subsequent companies for 25 years. There, besides programming, I used all the standard Microsoft applications et al.
At the same time, I did some maths tutoring, mainly for friends, from 8 year-olds to A-level (pure and applied), including a dyslexic pupil. More recently I have taught IT to adults, both formally and informally.
Since leaving, I have worked in offices, including M&S using various IT packages, giving me much practical experience.
I also use applications such as Picassa for photo processing, and have learnt various useful techniques.
