I am a Qualified Mathematics Teacher, with a Degree in Mathematics and a Masters degree in Business Administration. I currently hold a valid extended CRB.

I also have been an athletics coach for over 15 years. I am married and have 3 children, 2 at university, and one just embarking on GCSE’s. I believe with my 25 years experience in Education and Business I have built a range of approaches and techniques to bring maths to life, provide a motivating and learning environment.

Many adults and children find maths extremely difficult. I believe that the reason most children struggle with maths is that they do not develop confidence in their own ability and find it difficult to relate what they are learning and its application in real life.

Availability: Daytime and Evenings until 6pm Monday to Friday and maybe weekends

Experience: I have the experience and knowledge to build confidence and improve mathematical understanding by using real life examples. I bring practical knowledge and real life examples of how mathematics is used, thus inspiring children to learn more effectively and efficiently.

Whilst working in Business I wrote and presented many training courses on finance for non finance managers, performance management, Maximising shareholder value and numerous team building activites and days

I am presently self employed as a tutor, massage therapist and sports coach
