Information about Colin
I help you build your confidence in maths, responding to what you`re struggling with and encouraging you to keep at it. I`m patient and sympathetic and ready to explain as often and in as many ways as you need.
You also get unlimited (within reason!) email support between classes - so you don`t have to bang your head against something if it doesn`t make sense after giving it a decent shot.
As for me, I have been a full-time tutor since 2008. When I`m not teaching, writing or blogging, I look after young baby Bill, and run longish distances when I get the chance.
Availability: I`m not currently taking on new students.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I am the author of Basic Maths For Dummies, Basic Maths Practice Problems For Dummies, Numeracy Tests For Dummies and several e-books on A-level maths topics.
Before becoming a full-time tutor in 2008, I worked as a researcher, studying the magnetic field around the sun. (I have an equation named after me!).
I`ve helped hundreds of students get over their maths hurdles and achieve what they set out to. I hope I can help you do the same.
