I am a Cardiff University Music Graduate and graduated with a second class honours in 2009. My principal instrument is violin and I acquired a high 2:1 in my performance modules. I was additionally active in the University windband playing clarinet and played as much as possible. I'm passionate about a wide range of musical styles from folk to classical and I'm enthusiastic about helping others to further their passion for music.
I teach violin, clarinet, saxophone and music theory.
I'm flexible to travel or for pupils to travel to me and I can teach either 30 minute or hour sessions.

Experience: I lead 3 separate ensembles at university, frequently requiring me to direct different groups of people and intensively work on small areas of music at a time when leading sectionals. It made me break down music and describe clearly to others how to play in order to achieve a certain effect and develop overall. This has prepared me for teaching and putting myself across confidently in passing on knowledge. I also ran violin sectionals for the south wales county youth orchestra helping me to relate to many different age ranges and a variety of abilities.
