English (primary, ks3, gcse, degree, adult-learner, a-level)
For the last eight years I have worked as an Educational Project Manager and self employed Tutor and am very comfortable teaching children and adults of all ages. Through my teaching work across the UK and Africa, I have learnt to communicate excellently with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and communities. I am passionate about teaching; discovering learning methods which suit an individual is something I find extremely fulfilling.
I believe that approaches to teaching need to be varied according to the needs of the individual. I am a patient, understanding and creative teacher who actively tries to engage pupils in the subject rather than completing work in a rigid way that can cause resistance. I am flexible, highly organised and am skilled at motivating students and building confidence and ability.
