I'm a 4th Year student studying Maths & Physics MSci at University of Bath. I have a real passion for Maths and Physics, and inspiring others to feel the same.

I'm friendly, enthusiastic and have a lot of experience of working with children of all ages through my job at the University as a Student Ambassador, and volunteering with the Institute of Physics at science fairs.

After explaining concepts, I try to encourage students to explain the concepts back to me to increase their confidence and also show them how much they've learned.

For maths and physics, practice is really important, so after showing a worked example or two, I let the student work through some problems by themselves, giving hints when they get stuck. Teaching how to analyse questions and problem solve, not just learn the syllabus, sets up a good foundation for enjoying (and being good at) maths and physics.

Availability: After 5pm on weekdays during the summer, then flexible availability dependent on my lecture schedule.

Experience: In 6th Form I assisted in Yr 7 Maths, PE and German classes every week, helping individual students who were struggling with the work. I taught English as a foreign language and Maths A-Level for 1 month at a secondary school in Tanzania.

I spent most of my school life helping friends with maths, and so have developed lots of different approaches to explaining concepts.

I have successfully tutored 3 students since registering as a tutor in May 2011.

Qualifications: •Maths & Physics MSci (current classification: 1st, 81%)
•Maths A-Level (A grade: 99.8%), Physics A-Level (A grade: 99.3%), Further Maths A-Level (A grade: 97.7%), German A-Level (A grade)
