I am a qualified History and English teacher who has been teaching for over 5 years. I`m really passionate about both my subjects and helping students enjoy them too!
I have a Masters in History and Education, a PGCE, both from the Institute of Education which is part of the University of London. I also have a high 2.1 degree in History and English Literature.
I am friendly and approachable, getting on with the wide variety of students I have taught in five years of mainstream secondary teaching. I am also extremely good at getting results - which I can show evidence of in my students` past achievements at both GCSE and A Level.

Availability: I am available most evenings and weekends. I can be flexible about times and days.

Experience: I have taught for the past five years in mainstream secondary Schools in both Reading and East London. More recently I have worked as a head of department for a selective private school in Cyprus. I have taught both History and English to A Level and received very good results.
I have very good knowledge of what examiners want, having been an examiner for EdExcel myself. I always give very good feedback to students, rather than just lecturing them, on how to improve their answers and their grades. I have received especially high merit in my current school for the level of detailed feedback I give to students.
I have taught many different exam boards and I am extremely confident that I can help you achieve the grade you want!
I have worked extensively with both students who are Gifted and Talented, and those with special needs - and everything in between - so I know I will be able to work with you to gain the best grade.
