I am a graduate French teacher with 30+ years of experience including teaching adults. I specialise in working with students who are willing but not natural linguists. I offer GCSE, A Level and undergraduate support as well as short holiday modules in listening, reading and speaking.

John was a wonderful teacher. Made me feel completely at ease very quickly and smoothly transitioning from speaking English to French. He is extremely encouraging and enables you to get the most out of your session regardless at what level you will be working at. However he does not do this without helping you every step of the way. Going above and beyond to make sure you really immersed yourself in the culture of the language, John enabled me to enjoy learning and really get to grips with the colloquial side to French. I felt more at ease with the language after my sessions with John and definitely felt an improvement in my spoken French. If I had had a teacher like this throughout my schooling career, my language skills would have increased in leaps and bounds. Very grateful to have been taught by someone with a love for the language and for teaching!
