I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a 2i in English Literature in July and I'm now living in South-West London, working as a freelance musician, teaching assistant and private tutor. While at university, I was president of the Musical Theatre Society, and was a choral scholar in the Choir of Sidney Sussex College.
Availability: From September 2010 onwards. Flexible times of day (please contact to discuss).
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I am an experienced musician and my work with young people ranges from one to one music tuition and theatre workshops in primary schools, to foreign exchange programmes. I have spent a great deal of time working with children and young adults, initially in the context of musical theatre, leading young choirs and theatre ensembles. More recently, I have been a regular workshop leader for a variety of schools and youth theatre groups, primarily in my home town of Worthing, but also in Cambridge and London.
In July 2010, I was responsible for a group of thirty French students, aged 12-16, for whom I was both an English
teacher and an activities leader. I led a children’s group on a summer holiday activity scheme (9-12 year olds), with a range of students including those with autism and behavioural difficulties.
I am currently living in London, working as a teaching assistant and musician. I am available for English and Music tutoring, and piano lessons.
