Tutoring and teaching are two different skills & I believe I can offer students a different experience to what they receive in the classroom, giving one to one attention focussing on their specific needs.

Many students will also find that the tutoring environment is a more comfortable one for them, enabling them to have the confidence to ask questions and try things which they may not in a classroom.

I have excellent academic qualifications across a broad subject range (including accountancy, psychology and science) & have built up a wide knowledge of revision and exam techniques, vital to support the application of subject knowledge.

I understand that individuals have different learning styles & apply this in my tutoring approach.
The students I tutor receive directed, tailored attention which makes a real difference to their knowledge, understanding and exam success.

Tutoring will typically be done from my home in order to have full access to resources and study materials, however tutoring can take place at the student's home if required, within the Wakefield or wider West Yorkshire area.

Tutoring can focus on specific problem areas or take a more general approach covering a whole syllabus/subject area depending on the needs of the student which will be assessed at the initial session.

Availability: Evenings and Saturdays.

Experience: In my work I have responsibility for helping junior staff to understand the principles of auditing and accounting. I have successfully tutored family members and family friends through exams up to A-level.
